Passion Week
Palm Sunday
A day to celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem before we celebrate His death and resurrection. We will have palm branches as a representation.
The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!”
John 12: 12-13 (NJKV)
A time to celebrate the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. We will partake in communion together accompanied by a message and worship.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
Matthew 26: 26-29 (NKJV)
Good Friday
Covenant Table
An opportunity for children to have their first communion and celebrate the impact of communion on their lives! There will be cupcakes afterwards for all children who participate in Covenant Table!
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)
A time to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and the empty tomb! As believers in Jesus, our lives have never been the same since this moment. Come join as we celebrate!
“He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”
Luke 24: 6-7 (NKJV)
